• Responsible for creating assembly illustrations and user manuals for numerous Weber products including gas, charcoal, electric and pellet.

• Collaborate with engineers, product management and regulatory departments.

• Route finalized technical literature through multiple departments to obtain final approvals.

• Track and document revisions for global products. Provide Weber technical documents to overseas and domestic printers in up to 37 languages.

• Supplement graphical content by writing instructions that convey clear and concise direction. Partner with international translation company to provide written content for global product distribution.

• Create and maintain Standard Operational Procedures for illustrations, processes & guidelines.

• Cross-reference technical literature data with bills of materials.

• Edit content based on consumer feedback and manufacturing changes. 

• Manage observational studies of consumer assembly processes during product development to develop a higher level of understanding.

• Work with I.T. dept to restructure version control management system of Weber technical manuals and integrate into a SharePoint environment.

• Provide support to 3D instructional design company (BILT Incorporated) to convert Weber product assembly guides from 2D to digital instructions for mobile devices.

• Excellent editing and composition skills that help me provide high-quality content for consumers.

Customer Experience Designer

Insight Enterprises, Inc. - Bloomingdale, IL, August 2001 to December 2003

Conceived, produced and maintained multiple internal and external websites residing under the Insight brand by writing HTML, CSS and Javascript. In conjunction with the use of graphics programs such as Adobe, I performed a majority of work on www.insight.com and it’s vast underlying structure including micro-sites for companies such as IBM and Microsoft. While creating intranets and animated banners for marketing support, I often collaborated with Product Management teams and Copywriters to design online user experiences in a deadline driven, high-pressure environment.
